Dear Hazel May

  • All measurements are taken flat, unstretched, and then doubled where appropriate
  • Shoulder measurement is taken from the top seam of where a sleeve attaches, or strap to strap if no sleeve exists.
  • Bust measurement is taken from armpit to armpit.
  • Bodice length is taken from the top of the garment to the waist.
  • Waist measurement is taken at the smallest part of the garment where it nips in.
  • Hip measurement is taken from the point of the garment where it begins to widen out beneath the waist.
  • Length measurement is taken from the highest point on the garment - top of shoulder seam, or top of bodice if strapless - to the bottom of the hem.
  • We recommend that you take a garment from your own closet you like the fit of and compare the measurements to ensure a good fit.
